Our Day School transforms struggling students in grades K through 8th. The Day School is a transitional program geared towards preparing our students whom may have found learning in a larger environment to be unsuccessul. Our goal is to prepare each one of our students to once again, be successful in a larger mainstream environment.Children who meet the criteria for a specific learning disability such as Auditory Processing Deficit, mild hearing loss, reading disorders, Nonverbal Learning Disabilities and/or ADHD are all candidates for admission.At the Roig Academy learning is accelerated and reinforced by infusing most of the body's senses. With the use of alternative teaching strategies and accommodations, every child is able to reach their maximum learning potential. Director Jennifer Roig's, unique hands on approach drives your child's success working directly with students, parents and teachers. After your child's initial evaluation, Mrs. Roig guides and monitors every student’s' progress on a continuous basis.

Who will benefit from the Roig Academy Clinical Day School? Our unique program is suited for struggling students in grades K through 8th with average to superior intelligence. It is designed for the child who may have experienced difficulty learning in a more crowded traditional classroom environment where individualized attention was not easily achieved.What is the admission criterion? Applicants will be considered for admission based upon specific criteria as measured with a complete psycho-educational evaluation. This evaluation must be conducted by a state licensed psychologist. In addition, documentation and evidence that a traditional classroom setting was found to be unsuccessful needs to be provided.Children who meet the criteria for a specific learning disability such as: Central Auditory Processing Deficit, Reading Disorder, Attention Deficit Disorder, and Nonverbal Learning Disabilities, are candidates for admission. Appropriate evaluations must be documented prior to enrolling.What if my child is in the middle of the school year?We offer year-round enrollment. Mrs. Roig firmly believes that any child who remains in an academic setting unable to meet his or her needs is at risk of falling behind.What about the curriculum?The Roig Academy believes in a traditional academic school preparatory curriculum, supplemented by a variety of hands on experiences and assignments. The use of textbooks, novels, and technology are an integral part of the curriculum.
